Photo Tea Towel

The kitchen is usually full of the most ordinary things in the house.

That is exactly why this works so well.

Take something that normally disappears into the background and turn it into the detail everyone notices. Add a favourite photo, artwork, a name, a family joke or something completely ridiculous and suddenly the tea towel hanging from the oven has a personality of its own.

Use a family photo that has absolutely no business being on a tea towel. Put the dog on it like they pay rent. Turn a recipe, drawing or inside joke into something that naturally lives in the kitchen instead of disappearing into a phone gallery.

And because it is still an actual tea towel, it does not need to sit untouched like some overly precious gift.

It gets used.

It gets left hanging out.

It becomes part of the kitchen.

That is what makes it good. Something practical enough to belong there, but specific enough that nobody mistakes it for something bought from a supermarket shelf.
